The Case:

The Baume & Mercier Riviera boasts a brushed stainless steel case that measures 42.1mm in diameter and 11.97mm in thickness. It showcases a unidirectional rotating dodecagonal bezel that is equipped with a diver’s count-up scale. It features a design like none other with a black lacquered treatment that marks the gradation of the first fifteen minutes. It also features a screw down crown that is located at 3 o’clock; it is embossed with the Baume & Mercier logo. The watch is protected by sapphire crystal glass, ensuring enduring clarity through exceptional scratch resistance. Sapphire crystal is also used on the back of the case for the exhibition caseback that provides the wearer with an insight into the watch’s inner movements. 

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a smokey grey transparent hue that exposes the watch’s inner movements. It exhibits a combination of silver framed baton-style and Arabic hour markers that have been filled with super-luminova that enables them to be read in the dark. Likewise the tips of the silver handset have also been generously coated in luminous material. It also features a date-display aperture at 3 o’clock. 

The Bracelet:

The watch comes equipped with a sporty 3-link oyster-style stainless steel bracelet. The outer links of the bracelet have been brushed, whilst the inner links have been polished. It fastens around the wrist through the use of a butterfly clasp. 

The Functions:

A Swiss-made automatic movement drives this timepiece, it is a self winding movement that offers a power reserve of 120 hours when fully charged. It is water resistant to 300 metres, which means that it is capable of withstanding swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and saturation diving.
