The Case:
The Casio Edifice Windflow ECB-2200DD-1A is housed in a carbon fiber reinforced resin case that measures 48.2mm in diameter. A stainless steel bezel sits atop of the case, it displays a 60-minute scale. Two push-buttons are located on the side of the case at 2 and 4 o’clock, they provide the user with access to the dial’s functions. From the side the watch is designed to evoke a sense of the wind flowing through a fender-pontooned formula race car and the sharp, dimensional mechanical face presents a unique look of sheer speed. Mineral glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The dial is presented in black, it showcases a digital-analog chronograph layout that is inspired by the racetrack. It exhibits baton-style hour markers and a pencil handset that have both been filled with a luminous material to enable nighttime readability. The hour markers are interspersed by a micro-second display.
The Bracelet:
The 3-link tapered bracelet is crafted out of brushed black IP stainless steel. The maximum length of the bracelet is 205mm in length. It fastens through the use of a deployment clasp.
The Functions:
The watch is powered by a Tough Solar movement, it has an accuracy of +/- 15 seconds per month. It also offers bluetooth connectivity, allowing the user to sync their watch with their smartphone. Tap into the app to access functions that are so important for racing teams — get automatically adjusted to-the-second precision timekeeping, effortlessly manage world time, transfer stopwatch data measured to the millisecond for up to 200 lap times to your smartphone, and use Super Illuminator to light up the analog face. It is water resistant to 100 metres.
