Understated, yet bold, the Jazzmaster Gent is a contemporary take on a traditional watch. Sophisticated, simple and tastefully designed, this quartz watch is the perfect choice for the distinguished gentleman.

The Case:

The case is made from a luxurious silver stainless steel compound which features a beautiful polished finish. The case sits at a standard 40mm case whilst sitting alongside sapphire crystal glass to provide the dial with the protection it deserves. Moreover, the crown can be seen positioned at the 3 o'clock position with two settings, one for the date and one for the time. 

The Strap:

A blue leather strap features detailing of stitching down either side. The strap sits at a standard 20mm width which is complemented well by the 40mm case. To secure the timepiece to your wrist a folding clasp is neatly adjusted to suit your needs.

The Dial & Functions:

Continuing with the blue and silver theme, a blue sun-brushed dial is complemented by silver indexes and hands. The term sun-brushed comes from the effect of looking the the sun is striking the dial in the centre and its rays reflecting off the glass. Both the indexes and hands feature a luminous coating which allows for easy visibility at night. Resting at the 3 o'clock position is an easy to read date window alongside the ever present Hamilton logo at the 12 o'clock position.
 
This watch has a water resistance of 50 metres, making it suitable for surface swimming.

Hamilton earned a place in history, as they found themselves suppliers of watches to the US military in both world wars.The US Naval Lab invited the Hamilton Watch Company to create an American made chrono. There was a shortage of chronos available to the US Government during the First World War. Therefore they had to rely solely on European made pieces.For this reason Hamilton agreed in 1941 to undertake the work. Moreover, by 1944 Hamilton had produced more than 10,000 Chronometers in aid of the American War effort.

Hamilton have developed a close relationship over the years with Hollywood. Hamilton watches have featured in over 450 films, beginning in 1951 with the Frogman watch. Other films include: Elvis Presley in 1961’s 'Blue Hawaii' and in '2001: A Space Odyssey'. Furthermore, Hamilton have featured in films such as 'Interstellar' and 'The Martian'.

In 2003 Hamilton moved their headquarters to a facility in Switzerland. They are still a global force within the timepiece industry. This is because Hamilton watches offer a combination of American heritage, Swiss internal workings and a touch of Hollywood flair.
