The case used on the Hamilton Jazzmaster watch H42535640 features a polished finish on stainless steel which glistens well in the light. At the 3 o'clock position is the crown which once pulled out can be used to adjust the time. Furthermore, the sapphire crystal glass sits in line with the case to allow it to reside comfortably underneath a shirt. The sapphire crystal provides the glass with protection from cracks due to its robustness.
The Bracelet:
The bracelet is made of calf leather and can be easily fastened using a standard buckle. The strap features stitching on both sides which brings out a classic feel to the piece. It measures a width of 20mm which is complemented well by the case. For all you Hamilton enthusiasts, the strap reference is H600.425.104.
The Dial & Functions:
Tradition meets innovation in the design of the dial. Roman numerals on the dial add a distinct style which goes well with the historic Hamilton logo seen just below the 12 o'clock index. By 1944 Hamilton had produced more than 10,000 Chronometers in aid of the American War effort. Hamilton have developed a close relationship over the years with Hollywood. They have featured in over 450 films, beginning in 1951 with the Frogman watch. Other films include: Elvis Presley in 1961’s Blue Hawaii and in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Furthermore, Hamilton have featured in films such as ‘Interstellar and The Martian. In 2003, Hamilton moved their headquarters to Switzerland. They are still a global force within the watch industry. This is because Hamilton watches offer a combination of American heritage, Swiss internal workings and a touch of Hollywood flair.
