The Case:
Hamilton Khaki Aviation Watch H76625530 Automatic Leather Mens has a case measuring 42mm in diameter, and is made from stainless steel. Most of the surfaces on the case have been brushed, which gives the watch a practical feel. A bi-directional slide rule bezel sits on top of the case, this feature draws back to the collection’s aviator roots, as it serves a functional purpose in allowing the wearer to carry out various unit conversions. The bezel is made from K1 mineral glass that has been hardened with an anti scratch-resistant coating. The sides of the bezel have been notched to allow for easy grip and rotation. On the side of the case there is an ‘H’ embossed crown positioned at 3 o’clock, it consists of the same motif as is seen on the sides of the bezel. Sapphire crystal glass protects the dial, as well as the open case back.
The Dial:
The black sun-ray brushed dial offers easy readability through its uncomplicated layout. Broad swords hands occupy the centre of the dial, they have been generously treated to a super-luminova filling that allows for nighttime readability. Each of the three hands features a needle tip to allow for more accurate reading of the time. A date window is present at the 3 o’clock marker, it features a metallic frame. The indices that form a track around the edge of the dial have been applied and also treated to a super-luminova filling. A 12-hour Arabic numeral scale is present in the inside of the indices. The Hamilton logo is presented in white underneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Functions:
Hamilton’s automatic H-10 caliber movement powers this timepiece, which offers an astounding 80-hour power reserve. It consists of 25 jewels and beats at a frequency of 21,600 VPH. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, making it suitable for snorkelling.
