Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph Black Dial Green Leather Bund Strap Men's Watch H71706830
Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph Black Dial Green Green Leather Bund Strap Men’s Watch H71706830
The Case:
The Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph H71706830 features a stainless steel case that has been treated to a sandblasted finish. It measures 44mm in diameter and it features a specially engraved solid case back that pays tribute to Hamilton’s military history. The case is made up of: a fixed bezel, a non-screw down crown at 3 o’clock and two push-buttons at 2 and 4 o’clock which allow the wearer to interact with the chronograph functions. Sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The matte black dial is adorned by super-luminova coated raised Arabic numerals that add readability and depth to the dial. They are surrounded by a white 60-minute track, which permits a more accurate reading of the time. The dial also features two sub-dials at 12 and 6 o’clock which display a 30-minute scale and a 12-hour scale, respectively. A silver framed syringe handset occupies the centre of the dial, it has been generously coated with super-luminova, which ensures that the dial can be read in the dark. The Hamilton logo is presented neatly beside the 3 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
This timepiece comes paired with a green calf-leather bund strap, which was a style of strap that was popularised in WW2 by air force pilots to combat the fluctuating temperatures in the cockpit, which would make a metal watch case riding against skin extremely uncomfortable. The strap is presented in olive green and it fastens through the use of a standard metal buckle.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by caliber H-21 automatic movement which has an increased power reserve of 60-hours. It is water resistant to 100 metres, which means that it can be worn when snorkelling.
