The United States Navy's team are a special operations force who embark on some of the most challenging and top secret missions. The dial features a green display which takes inspiration from the alpine missions operated by the Navy SEALs. The ever present Luminox logo can be seen below the 12 o'clock index with Arabic indexes around the very outside of the dial. The indexes cover both 12 and 24 hour displays to suit the needs of both. Surrounding the dial is a tough CARBONOX case which features a unidirection bezel in increments of 5 seconds. In 2006, Luminox introduced an innovative carbon compound material, which “consists of carbon long bars or carbon powder in varying percentages depending on the model”, also known as CARBONOX. This takes the watches durability to a whole new level. Also, sapphire crystal glass sits on-top of the dial to again provide even more resistancy. The glass has an anti-reflective coating to prevent it from any glare from the sun. Then, a black rubber strap can be fastened using a standard buckle.

All Luminox watches feature a self-powered illumination system employing tiny micro gas light sources. This unique Swiss technology guarantees unsurpassed ability to read the time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for up to 25 years. Each watch has micro gas lights mounted on the hands, dial and, when necessary, also on the bezel. This unique technology does not depend on an external light source to 'charge' fluorescent paint on the dial or hands in order to glow, nor do Luminox watches require the push of a button to light up as do watches with elctroluminescene. Replacing the 3 o'clock is a simplistic date window.

 

This watch has a water resistance of 300 metres, making it suitable for diving.
