The Case:
The Orient Mako III RA-AA0006L19B is housed in a robust stainless steel case that has been treated to a brushed finish, which bestows the watch with an element of rugged elegance. It measures 42mm in width and 13mm in height. A blue 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel sits atop of the case, it displays a 60-minute count up scale and a lume pip at 12 o’clock. The knurled edges of the bezel ensure that it can be easily operated. A screw-down crown is located at 3 o’clock, flanked either side by a crown-guard that prevents it from being knocked out of place. The sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering, it has been treated with an anti-reflective coating which improves the readability of the crystal. It also features a screw down closed case back, which is emblazoned with an engraving of their twin dolphin logo, and other descriptive text.
The Dial:
The matte blue dial exhibits an uncomplicated layout that offers easy readability at a glance. It is occupied by bold silver-framed luminous handset and hour markers that allows for nighttime readability. The red tipped seconds hand contrasts against the background of the blue dial. A silver framed day-date aperture is located at 3 o’clock, whilst the Orient logo is situated proudly beneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
The watch is presented on a black accordion-style silicone strap that fastens through the use of a pin buckle clasp.
The Functions:
Orient’s calibre F6922 automatic movement powers this timepiece. It is a self winding movement that consists of 22 jewels and offers a power reserve of 40 hours. It has an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day. It is water resistant to 200 metres, which means that it can be worn when diving.
