The Case:

The Ball Roadmaster Marine GMT DG3220A-S1CJ-SL features a 42.5mm titanium case that is 14.5mm thick. Titanium offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all known metals. The body of the case has been treated to a brushed finish, while the chamfered edges of the case are polished, which accentuates the case’s robust profile. Sitting atop of the case is a ceramic ‘Pepsi’ bi-directional rotating bezel that exhibits a 24-hour scale. Ceramic is a material renowned for its durability, offering superior resistance to scratches and corrosion.

A screw-down crown is located at 3 o’clock, whilst the two push-buttons are located at 8 and 10 o’clock. The watch is equipped with sapphire crystal on both the front and back of the case, offering protection against scratches and shattering. It has been treated to an anti-reflective coating to ensure that it remains always readable. 

The Dial:

The dial is presented in silver, exhibiting an uncluttered layout, luminescent baton hands, bold 12, 6 and 9 indicators and a magnified date window at 3 o’clock. The dial comes to life in the dark as the 23 micro gas tubes that are spread across the hour, minute, second hands and hour markers releasing electrons that give off a bright and long lasting glow. This system is around 100 times brighter than any other competing technologies. The dial also features a GMT hand which allows the wearer to track two 24-hour time zones at once, thanks to a 24-hour rotating bezel and a dial calibrated to display the time on a 24-hour basis. It also features a double moon phase indication that shows the current moon phase for the northern and southern hemispheres simultaneously

The Bracelet:

It is presented on a tapered h-link bracelet that is crafted from a combination of titanium and stainless steel. It displays both brushed and polished finishes that bestows a visual contrast and enhances the overall aesthetics of the watch. It secures around the wrist through the use of Ball’s patented folding buckle. 

The Functions:

Ball’s RR1206-C calibre automatic movement powers this timepiece, it has a power reserve of 38 hours and an accuracy of +/- 4 seconds per day. It is COSC certified, offering a 1,000 GAU anti-magnetism rating and 5,000Gs of shock resistance. It is water resistant to 300m which means it can be worn in saturated diving.
