Seiko 5 Sports ‘Yuto Horigome’ Black Dial Black Silicone Strap Limited Edition Men’s Watch SRPJ39K1

The Case:

The Seiko 5 Sports SRPJ39K1 is housed in a 42mm black PVD stainless steel case that has been treated to a brushed finish. The case features a unidirectional rotating crown that exhibits a 60-minute count up scale. The grooved walls of the bezel ensure that it always remains easily operable. A push-down crown is located at the 4 o’clock position, it is flanked either side by crown guards, which prevent it from being knocked out of place. Lastly, hardlex crystal offers the benefits of being both scratch and shatter resistant. 

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a subdued black/grey camouflage tone. It showcases a simplistic, easy-to-read layout through large applied indices and a silver framed handset, which are both generously coated in LumiBrite material which allows for nighttime visibility. A white 60-second track is printed on the chapter ring, which allows for a more accurate reading of the time. A silver framed date-display window replaces the 3 o’clock marker, whilst the Seiko logo is located underneath the 12 o’clock marker. 

The Strap:

The watch is presented on a utilitarian soft black silicone strap. The strap fastens through the use of a standard buckle that is crafted out of black PVD stainless steel. 

The Functions:

Seiko’s in-house built automatic movement, the 4R36, powers this timepiece. It is a self-wind and manual movement that offers a power reserve of 41 hours. It is water resistant to 100 metres, which means it can be worn when swimming in shallow waters.
