Seiko 5 Sports Bottle Cap ‘Root Beer’ Automatic Brown Dial Brown Nylon Strap Men’s Watch SRPC68K1

The Case:

The Seiko SRPC68K1 takes its nickname from its ??distinct and unique case design that resembles a bottle cap. The case measures 45mm in width and is crafted out of black PVD stainless steel. A copper-coloured unidirectional rotating bezel is placed on top of the case, its grooved edges give off the appearance of a bottle cap. It showcases a white 60-minute count up scale. A screw-down crown is positioned at 4 o’clock in typical dive-watch fashion. Hardlex crystal provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering. 

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a brown tone with a sunburst effect. It exhibits a simple, clean layout which is common amongst dive watches as it ensures that the dial is always readable. It features large applied hour markers with polished frames and Lumibrite for legibility in the dark. Around the edge of the dial the seconds and split-seconds are printed in white. A day-date aperture is located at the 3 o’clock position, it also features a polished frame. The dial has elongated diamond-shaped hands with Lumibrite applied to them and a metal frame around it. The second hand is painted white. 

The Strap:

The watch is presented on a two-tone brown nylon NATO strap. The strap fastens through the use of a standard buckle, which has also been coated in PVD. 

The Functions:

This timepiece is powered by Seiko’s in-house built 4R36 automatic movement which has a power reserve of 40 hours and operates at an accuracy of +15/-25 seconds per month.
