Seiko 5 Sports Diver Baby Orange Monster Silver Stainless Steel Orange Dial Men’s Watch SRP483K1
This Seiko 5 Sports Diver Baby Orange Monster Silver Stainless Steel Orange Dial Men’s Watch is a brilliant piece of craftsmanship by Seiko. Firstly, a clear orange dial is complimented by black accents as nicknamed by Seiko enthusiasts as the ‘Baby Orange’ model. The Seiko 5 Sports logo is seen just below the 12 o’clock index with a day and date window located at 3 o’clock.
Furthermore, surrounding the dial is a thick silver stainless steel case with hardlex mineral glass sat on-top to provide rigid protection. Grooves around the edge of the case have been said to resemble that of a monsters bite mark, earning this model a way into the Seiko monster series. There is a black and orange bezel on top of the case which goes up in 5 minute increments. Then, a silver stainless steel bracelet can be fastened using double flip lock clasp.
Finally, this watch has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.

The Family:
The Seiko 5 family has set the standard in affordable, rugged and stylish watches since 1963. They incorporate simplicity, but seriousness. Also, the name of the Seiko 5 derives from its five key attributes, which Seiko promised to include in every watch that belonged to the family. Moreover, they are: automatic winding, displaying the day and date in a single window, water resistance, a recessed crown at the 4 o’clock position and a durable metal bracelet.
1963 marked the year that the Seiko 5 acted as a catalyst in the horological revolution in automatic watchmaking. Even after being in the market for over 50 years, albeit the Seiko 5 remains as cool and relevant as ever. Though this serves as proof that expert craftsmanship and elegant design will never go out of fashion.
The Brand: Seiko
Firstly, ceaseless determination to innovate in every aspect of the watchmaker’s art is what defines Seiko’s 135-year history. Also, by embracing this ethos, Seiko has been responsible for a string of industry-leading advances in the technology of time. Notably, the creation of the world’s first quartz watch in 1969. Or equally impressive the creation of the world’s first TV watch in 1982.
And even more relevant today, with our abhorrent use of non-renewable energy sources, Seiko’s Kinetic. This watch had the ability to generate its own power from the movement of the wearer, it was released in 1988. The listed technological developments serve as evidence to illustrate the revolutionary impact which Seiko has had on the watchmaking world. They are also remarkably unique in that they manufacture every aspect of every watch in-house. They even grow their own quartz crystals and sapphires, hence why Seiko are renowned for being watchmaking experts.
