The design of this the Seiko 5 Sports The New Rally Driver SRPK09K1 pays tribute to the popular Seiko 5 Sports watches from the late 1960s which were a firm fan favourite.
The overall look is a combination of newness and heritage – with the dial and the hands being new designs, common to this Retro Colour collection. The case is based on the SKX series case, whilst the bezel resembles the original 1960s models. It has ‘Special Edition’ engraved on the case back.
This particular timepiece is inspired by the 5126-8130 – the original ‘Rally Diver’ released in the late 60s.

The Case:
The Seiko 5 Sports SRPK09K1 features a 42.5mm stainless steel case with a brushed finish. The case houses a distinctive two-tone unidirectional rotating crown, resembling a checkered racing flag, featuring a 60-minute count-up scale. The grooved bezel ensures easy operability, while crown guards flank the push-down crown at the 4 o'clock position to prevent displacement. The case is protected by hardlex crystal, offering scratch and shatter resistance.
The Dial:
Presented in a captivating silver tone with a sunray-effect, the dial offers luminous baton-style indexes and hands for enhanced visibility in the dark. A striking orange seconds hand adds a pop of color. The day-date window is positioned at 3 o'clock, and the Seiko 5 Sports logo appears in black beneath 12 o'clock.
The Bracelet:
Fastened by a brushed 3-link oyster-style stainless steel bracelet, the watch utilizes a three-fold push-button deployment clasp for secure wear.
The Functions:
Driving the watch is Seiko's 4R36 automatic movement, boasting 24 jewels and operating at 21,600 beats per hour, providing a 40-hour power reserve. The movement includes Seiko Diashock for protection against impacts. It maintains an accuracy range of +45 to -35 seconds per day. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the watch is suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
