Measuring at a diameter of 40mm, the Seiko Conceptual Solar SNE523P1 makes for a great fit for any wrist. A polished finish on the stainless steel case will immediately draw the eye to the quality of the watch. At a height of just 9.7mm the watch sits on the wrist nicely whilst still having room to fit the dial, hands and movement. Placed inline with the case is sapphire crystal glass which is known for its clear yet resistant properties. Flipping the case over, the movement is secured with a screw down case back, protecting water from seeping into the movement. To adjust the time and date, a push/pull crown can be seen at 3 o'clock position  

A simple yet elegant white dial is complemented by grey indexes and hands. Second markers are placed around the very edge of the dial on the chapter ring allowing the time to be measured down to the second. Seen just below the 12 o'clock is the ever present Seiko logo with a day and date window sat adjacent to the 3 o'clock mark. The dial is finished with a 'Japanese Solar Movement' mark, an instant reassurance of reliability. 

Sitting comfortably around the wrist is a silver stainless steel bracelet which has a classic three link 'Oyster' style. A three-fold clasp can be easily fastened with a push button release function.

Reliability is insured with the solar V158 calibre movement. With an accuracy of +-15 seconds per month, the watch can only be out by a maximum of 3 minutes a year! Power is provided through the light of the sun. At full charge, the watch can last approximately 10 months, allowing you to have the timepiece on your wrist or part of your collection. Furthermore, the movement has an overcharge prevention function, meaning the cells do not take any damage and reduce their lifespan. Also, a quick start function can be used to set the precise local time by just one button operation anywhere in the world.

 

Finally, this watch has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
