Seiko Coutura Solar Quartz Blue Dial Two Tone Stainless Steel Bracelet Mens Watch SSC642P1

The Case:

The Seiko Coutura SSC642P1 features a 45.5mm case that is made from brushed stainless steel. On top of the case there is a fixed gold bezel with smooth contoured edges. At the side of the case there is a screw down crown at 3 o’clock which is protected by a crown guard. Two golden push buttons are located either side of the crown at 2 and 4 o’clock, they can be used to control the watch’s chronograph functions. Superlative levels of protection are provided for against scratches and shattering through the sapphire crystal glass. 

The Dial:

The blue dial has a subtle two-step design, it exhibits three sub-dials which display a 60-minute scale, a 24-hour scale and a solar power display. Located in the outer dial there are applied baton-style hour markers that are presented in gold. Surrounding the hour markers there is a chapter ring that displays a 60-minute scale. In the centre of the dial there is a gold partly skeletonised alpha style handset. It has been half filled with Seiko’s Lumibrite material. The Seiko logo is presented in gold beneath the 12 o’clock marker, a date display window with a golden frame is also located beneath the 12 o’clock marker.

The Bracelet:

This watch comes equipped with a bold multi-tonal gold and silver stainless steel bracelet that features a combination of brushed and polished finishes. The bracelet fastens through the use of a fold over deployment clasp. 

The Features:

Seiko’s V192 solar quartz mechanism powers this timepiece, this provides the watch with an accuracy of +/-15 seconds per month. It has a 70 hour power reserve and it has a display function of resuming electric power generation. It is water resistant up to 100 metres which means it can be worn when snorkelling.
