Introducing the Seiko SPB393J1, a limited-edition timepiece from the Presage Craftsmanship Series, known as the ‘Laurel Enamel’. This exceptional watch celebrates 110 years of Seiko’s expertise in wristwatch making, drawing inspiration from Japan’s first-ever wristwatch, The Laurel.

The SPB393J1 pays homage to the original 1913 Laurel with its enamel watch dial, reminiscent of the classic enamelled dial adorned with the iconic ‘red twelve’ marker at 12 o’clock—a design element that still graces many Seiko watches today. The enamel dial is meticulously crafted through a painstaking process, layering multiple coats of enamel and firing them to create a lustrous, pristine white finish. The calf leather strap featured on the SPB393J1 is sourced from Japan’s LWG-certified tanners. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is a non-profit organization committed to responsible and sustainable leather production, emphasizing the watch’s dedication to ethical craftsmanship.
