The Case:
The Seiko SPB227J1 features a 39mm case that is forged from brushed stainless steel. The case consists of: a circular fixed bezel, a screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, a screw case back and anti-reflective sapphire, which provides the watch with optimum legibility and scratch resistance.
The Dial:
The design of the red textured dial is inspired by the pattern of a hemp leaf, which is a traditional Japanese leaf. The dial also exhibits further sharp, angular and refined motifs which can be seen through sword style handset which is filled with a luminescent material which enables nighttime readability. Elongated applied silver hour markers are located around the edge of the dial, a date-display window is located neatly beside the 3 o’clock marker. The Seiko logo is presented in silver beneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Bracelet:
The stainless steel bracelet of the Seiko Presage Sharp Edge provides the watch a classy yet casual image. The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it is made up of 5-links. It fastens through the use of a three-fold deployment clasp.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by automatic 6R35 caliber movement, which provides the watch with an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per month and battery life of approximately 70 hours. It has a water resistance of 100 meters, which means it can be worn when snorkelling.
