Seiko Presage Sharp Edged ‘Kurotobi’ Russet Automatic Brown Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Men’s Watch SPB307J1

The Case:

The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series SPB307J1 is a sporty dress watch that has a sharp, angular case that is constructed out of stainless steel and has been treated to a super-hard coating. The case itself measures 40mm in diameter and it showcases a blend of both brushed and polished finished surfaces, which emphasises the angularity of the case. 

The case exhibits a minimalist design, as it features: a fixed bezel, and a push/pull crown at 3 o’clock that has easy-to-grip walls and the Seiko logo embossed on it. Lastly, sapphire crystal glass is used on the front of the case, as well as on the exhibition case back.

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a rich russet brown tone, which is referred to as ‘Kurotobi’ in Japanese. The dial is embellished with silver applied hour markers and a faceted dauphine handset that is generously coated in a luminescent material. The dial also showcases a day-display sub-dial at 3 o’clock, a date-display sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a power reserve indicator sub-dial at 9 o’clock.

The Bracelet:

The SPB305J1 comes on a classic 3-link oyster style bracelet that is crafted out of stainless steel. The surfaces of the bracelet have been treated to a combination of brushed and polished finishes. It fastens through the use of a three-fold clasp with push-button release. 

The Functions: 

Seiko’s exclusive 6R21 calibre automatic movement provides this timepiece with an impressive 45-hour power reserve and an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day. It is made up of 28 jewells and it operates at a frequency 28,000 VPH. It has a water resistance rating of 100 metres, which means that it can be worn when snorkelling.
