The Case:
This Seiko Prospex SNE549P1 at 44mm in diameter this stainless steel case, a metallic blue unidirectional rotating bezel sits on top of it. It features bold white 60-minute markers forming a track around the edge. The tall sided grip allows allows for easy rotation of the unidirectional bezel. A screw-down crown is present besides the 4 o’clock mark, it protected by an angular crown guard. Similarly, a screw down case back serves the same water resistant purposes. Hardlex glass sits on top of the case to protect the dial. The case back is screw down and features an embossed special edition PADI emblem. Additionally, the watch features a screw down crown which makes it suitable for diving.
The Dial:
The blue dial is decorated with bold luminous hour markers that allow for easy readability, while the 3 o’clock marker has been replaced with a cyclops day date window which makes reading it easier as it is magnified by 2.5 times. The differentiating style, size and dimensions of the handset also allows for greater readability, as does the red trimming around the minute and seconds hand, as it stands out against the black dial. A white 60-minute track runs around the outer edge of the dial, which allows for more accurate reading of the time. The Seiko Prospex logo is present neatly beneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Bracelet:
The silver bracelet bracelet is made from highly durable stainless steel that has been finished using a brushed technique. It comes in a classic 3-link oyster style, which allows the bracelet to sit comfortably on the wrist. It also features a three-fold clasp with secure lock and push button release with extender.
The Functions:
Seiko’s V157 solar movement powers this timepiece, which will remain operating from 10 months when fully charged and has an accuracy of +/- 15 seconds per month. This watch has a water resistance of 200 metres, making it suitable for diving.
