The Case:
The Sekonda 1395 is a multi-functional sports chronograph watch that combines style and practicality. The case is made from stainless steel and it measures 45mm in diameter. The case has been treated to a brushed finish, which gives it a utilitarian feel. On top of the case there is a black tachymeter scale. At the side of the case there is an enlarged push/pull crown that is positioned beside the 3 o’clock marker. Two push-buttons are located either side of the crown guards, these buttons provide access to the chronograph functions. Mineral glass is used which provides the watch with superlative levels of protection from scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The bold yellow dial makes use of a two-step design. The outer dial is home to the silver bevelled baton-style hour markers, as well as the black 60-minute scale.The inner dial displays the three chronograph subdials. A silver baton-style handset has been partly filled with a luminescent material so that the dial can be read in the dark. A subtle date-display window is positioned in between the 4 and 5 o’clock marker.The Sekonda logo is presented in silver at the 12 o’clock position in the inner dial.
The Strap:
The black strap is made from leather with contrasting yellow stitching. The strap has been perforated, which allows it to breathe when it is on the wrist. The strap fastens using a standard metal buckle which has the Sekonda logo etched into it.
The Functions:
Japanese made quartz mechanisms power this timepiece, ensuring that it remains reliable and accurate. It has a water resistance rating of 50 metres, which means it can be worn when swimming in shallow waters.
