The Case:
This Sekonda Classic 1864 features a bold black PVD stainless steel that has been treated to a polished finish. The case measures 44mm in diameter and at the side of the case there are two push buttons located at 2 and 4 o’clock, they can be used to gain access to the chronograph functions. In between them there is a push/pull crown that is protected by a crown guard. On the other side there is another crown located at 9 o’clock. The case also exhibits a fixed bezel and short angular lugs. Mineral glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The black dial is home to a number of complications, which bestows the watch with its unique aesthetics. Located around the very edge of the dial on the rotating chapter ring that displays the world time outer dial. In the middle of the dial there are three subdials which are home to a 12-hour, 60-minute and a 24-hour scale. Located around the edge of the inner dial are luminescent pencil style hour markers, while a silver baton style handset extends out from the centre of the dial. A date display window is located between the 4 and 5 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
This watch comes equipped with a black leather strap that has been perforated so that it can breathe when it is on the wrist. It features black stitching that runs around the edge of the strap. It fastens through the use of a standard buckle.
The Functions:
Japanese made quartz mechanisms power this timepiece, ensuring that it remains reliable and accurate. It has a water resistance rating of 50 metres, which means it can be worn when swimming in shallow waters.
