The Squale Corallo NOS 2008 Black is an automatic dive watch that revives a classic Squale design from the 1980s while incorporating modern materials and Swiss mechanical reliability. Its compact 36.8mm stainless steel case provides balanced proportions and comfortable everyday wear, retaining the character of a traditional tool diver in a refined format.
Vintage Corallo Case Design
The model is built using original Corallo case architecture, recognisable for its protective crown guards and clean, functional profile. Measuring approximately 10.5mm thick with a 44mm lug-to-lug length, it sits neatly on the wrist. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial and improves visibility in varying light conditions.
Swiss Automatic Movement
Inside is the Swiss ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with an approximate 42-hour power reserve. The calibre is regarded for stable timekeeping and long-term serviceability, supporting reliable daily use.
Diving Functionality
A unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminium insert enables dive timing, while luminous hands and indices ensure legibility in low-light environments. The screw-down crown and case back secure a water resistance of 200 metres (20 ATM), suitable for swimming and recreational diving.
Comfort and Wearability
The watch is fitted to a black rubber strap designed for water use and everyday comfort. Its restrained dimensions make it suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes without appearing oversized.
Limited Edition Release
This version forms part of a limited production series and utilises New Old Stock (NOS) Corallo-style cases, linking the watch directly to Squale’s historical catalogue while maintaining contemporary performance standards.
Classic Diving Character
The Squale Corallo NOS 2008 Black combines heritage styling with dependable Swiss mechanics, offering a traditional dive watch aesthetic with modern durability and practicality.
