The Case:

The Swatch Nothing Basic About Black SUSB420 features a 42mm black plastic case. It is made up of a white fixed bezel that displays a tachymeter scale, this can be used to measure speed based on time travelled over a fixed distance. It also has a push/pull crown located at 3 o’clock and two push-buttons at 4/6 o’clock that are used to operate the dial’s chronograph functions. The case’s acrylic crystal is highly durable and impact-resistant, providing protection against scratches and shattering. 

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a black hue, with a subtle sunburst finish. It exhibits a chronograph display through the additional dial complications, which gives the watch a sporty feel. It features 3 sub-dials located at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock that display a 60 minute scale, a 60-second scale and a 12-hour scale, respectively. Silver baton-style hour markers are located around the edge of the dial; they are encircled by a 60-minute track that is located around the chapter ring. The black handset has been coated with a thin layer of luminous material that enables the dial to be read in the dark. A date-display window is positioned beside the 3 o’clock marker.

The Strap:

The watch is equipped with a black silicone strap, loop and stainless steel standard buckle. 

The Functions:

The watch is powered by a quartz movement, ensuring that it is reliable and accurate. It is water resistant to 30 meters, which means that it should not be exposed to anything more than light splashes of water.
