The Case:
The black case of the Swatch Checkpoint Black Pay! is made from plastic. The dial is framed by a fixed bezel. On the side of the case there is a crown that is positioned in between two push-buttons which provide the wearer with easy access to the chronograph functions on the dial. Hardlex crystal glass is embedded into the case protecting the watch from knocks and scratches.
The Dial:
The black dial has a subtle chequered design and it exhibits three sub-dials that display the watch’s chronograph complications. Thin baton hour markers are located around the edge of the dial, while a black baton-style handset occupies the centre of the dial. A date-display is positioned neatly in between the 3 and 4 o’clock marker of the dial. The Swatch logo is present beneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
The silicone strap features a matte black design. The strap fastens through the use of a standard half buckle aluminium buckle.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by highly reliable Swiss-made quartz mechanisms. It is water resistant up to 30 metres, making it suitable for light splashes. The watch also offers SwatchPay which allows you to connect your debit/credit card with the watch so that you can simply tap your watch on a card reader to make a payment, just as you would with contactless or apple pay!
