The Case:
The Victorinox Maverick 241697 is the perfect blend of elegance and function. The case is crafted from high-grade Swiss made stainless steel. Whilst the black PVD coated stainless steel bezel is as alluring as it is practical. The edge of the bezel is knurled, which allows the wearer to easily rotate the unidirectional bezel. A lume pip is present at the 12 o'clock mark on the bezel, whilst hour increments form a track around the rest of the bezel. An embossed screw down crown is also positioned besides the 3 o'clock mark, it is protected by a crown guard. Triple coated anti reflective sapphire crystal glass protects the dial against sun and water damage.
The Dial:
The understated black dial is particularly attractive, as it is complemented by silver indices and hands, which helps to provide this timepiece with its concise and well formed appearance. Victorinox have channeled contemporary trends into the design of the dial, as reflected by the addition of the well chiseled luminescent treated hands and applied markers. The dial is multi tonal, as it makes use of a two step dial design. The inner dial displays the 12 to 24 hour indices, whereas the outer dial displays the first 12 hour increments. A date window is also present at the 12 o'clock mark. The Luminox logo replaces the 12 o'clock mark.
