The Case:
The Victorinox Maverick 241864 is the perfect blend of elegance and function. The case is crafted from high-grade Swiss made stainless steel. Likewise the black PVD coated stainless steel bezel is as alluring as it is practical. The edge of the bezel is knurled, which allows the wearer to easily rotate the unidirectional bezel. A lume pip is present at the 12 o’clock mark on the bezel, whilst hour increments form a track around the rest of the bezel. An embossed screw down crown is also positioned besides the 3 o’clock mark, it is protected by a crown guard. Triple coated anti reflective sapphire crystal glass protects the dial against sun and water damage.
The Dial:
The understated black dial is particularly attractive, as it is complemented by silver indices and hands, which helps to provide this timepiece with its concise and well formed appearance. Victorinox have channeled contemporary trends into the design of the dial, as reflected by the addition of the well chiseled luminescent treated hands and applied markers. Additionally, there are 3 sub dials. These are the 30 minute, 12 hour, and 60 second dials. A Victorinox logo replaced the 12 o'clock mark. A date window is also present above the 6 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
The black leather strap radiates class and it is the perfect accompaniment for the black elegant design of the dial. It also serves a practical purpose, as the soft leather augments unmatched levels of comfort when on the wrist. The patina coloured sticking on the outer edge of the bracelet also completes the watch’s timeless feel. In addition the buckle of the bracelet has ‘Victorinox’ engraved onto it.
The Functions:
Analog quartz movement powers this timepiece, it is a highly dependable movement that has been tried and tested. It also offers hand and automatic winding, as well as a hacking feature. This timepiece is water resistant up to 100 metres, so that it is suitable for snorkelling.
